E-books, What not to love.

E-book readers are a great new item. Why have hundreds of books lying around when you can have one e-book reader with hundreds of books in the space of less than one book. There are only a couple of issues I feel that really need to be nailed out before I will consider an e-book. The first is price. I’m not going to spend more than $100 on an e-book reader. The current price of the Kindle and Nook is way to high. Drop the price and recover the loss through the sale of books. I would be more willing to buy books for the Kindle or Nook knowing I could bring all my books with me and have them when I want rather than buying a paper version.
The other issue is color. Black and White newspapers, only when it is the same town paper. Large newspapers have color. The Kindle and the Nook need color and lots of it. We have come to expect some color in our lives. There are color versions in the works but, the price I’m sure will make me gasp. Keep the price to $100 and people will buy it. Books will more than recover the initial cost.
